Thanks to the support of community sponsors and patrons, the Peabody Auditorium Foundation launched the Young Audience Series in 2022. Its mission is to provide youth and family audiences with an affordable opportunity to experience engaging, educational, and entertaining live cultural performances in the community that foster an appreciation of the arts. Live professional theatrical matinee performances are held on scheduled weekends at a modest price.
Since the program's inception, the Foundation has proudly presented TheaterWorksUSA, a NYC touring company that presents 60-minute professional productions created by top artists in the field and performed by members of Actors' Equity Association. Productions have included Junie B.'s Essential Survival Guide to School, The Magic SchoolBus-Lost in the Solar System, Charlotte's Web, Ada Twist, Scientist and Friends, and Pete the Cat. These family-friendly weekend performances have received rave reviews from our young audiences and praise from community sponsors.
